Why are we endangered?
The Bactrian Camel started to acquire endangered status due to human intervention. These animals lose their habitat because of mining an industrial development.
Farmers hunt these camels when they migrate onto other lands. Additionally these camels are also domesticated for easier transportation, causing them to mate with other camels of different species which will create a genetically distinct wild camel and cause the other one to disappear.
The habitat of the camels is also altered because different livestock is introduced that affects the lives of the camels, meaning they become a prey to other carnivores. Gray wolves and the Caspian tiger are known species that predate the Bactrian Camels and contribute also in their extinction
